Plagiarism

The  Journal of Medical and Oral Biosciences (JMOB) has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are traced through iThenticate Turnitin. The author should provide a similarity review report for the submitted Manuscript or mention the percentage in the cover letter to avoid earlier rejection due to plagiarism. The policy of JMOB against plagiarism is as follows:

  1. If the Manuscript has a similarity index of over 25%, it will be rejected directly and returned to the author, with no further processing stage.
  2. If the Manuscript's similarity index is below 25%, the editor will ask the authors to improve it and reduce the percentage before proceeding to the next processing stage.
  3. If the Manuscript is below a 15% similarity index, it will proceed to the next processing stage
